Jessie and Al: Silent?
Has anyone heard from Rev. Jessie Jackson or Al Sharpton regarding the Harry Reid bumble? I expected them to be all over the place calling for him to resign. Oh, wait, Reid is a Democrat. I forgot that politics trumps life.

I'm sure when selecting Michael Steele to represent the Republican National Committee the subject of race never came up.
I have no doubt that race was part of that, which is sad but not a double standard. My point is that Jessie and Al vigorously attack and defend anything that remotely resembles a racial issue, yet they were silent on the Reid issue. That is a blatant double standard, and it shows that a) they have sold their soul to Washington, or b) they are not as concerned about racial issues as they claimed to be.
In other words, speak out and become publicity whores or remain silent and become hypocrites.
Given the choice I would also choose "no comment." Res ipsa loquitur.
A little consistency would be nice.
